My name is Jacob and I am a student at Southern Cross University in Lismore. I am currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (Primary) and have completed my first year. I am a computer nerd and have completed some IT units at TAFE and UNI.

I used to play in-line hockey and was reasonable on the half pipe but nowadays I don't get to skate very often. I still enjoy skating whenever I can though and hope to be able to go more often when I have finished UNI and have a job.

I started learning in computers when I was in primary school and even had an Amiga 500. I started learning how to program in BASIC and Pascal and then moved into AMOS when I got my Amiga. I have moved into C++ and VB more recently as well as web technologies such as CSS and PHP. I have been building my own PC's since 2000 and have helped friends and family to select parts for and build their own computers. I also help family and friends with technical issues that arise from time to time. I have an interest in Linux and have been tinkering with it since 2000. I hope that when I have completed my teaching degree that I can get a position that includes computing.
